Let’s do more good,
together

Around 2010, founder Heath Hale was asked to fill in as an auctioneer at a charity benefit auction and had never attended a gala before. Its non-profit had a $40,000 fundraising goal and the live auction alone raised more than 4 times the goal. When the Executive Director shared with him that they had helped “save lives here tonight” he was hooked on benefit auctions. It wasn’t long before he developed a genuine passion for raising money to impact those in need.

His work with charities grew and he began consulting charities on how to set their events up to maximize donations. They dug into details and explored new opportunities to help charity partners raise the most money possible. One wildly beneficial resource for his charity clients was consignment, where companies provide discounted packages (travel, memorabilia, experiences, etc.) to charities to help them increase the funds raised and the impact made at their fundraising events.

They began utilizing consignment packages with some of their charity partners and quickly learned that there were great companies out there providing spectacular packages and there were also companies out there that were not taking care of the charity or their donors. They spent a lot of time vetting companies and providing strategic recommendations to charity clients. It was so beneficial, they realized that it could, and should, be a resource available to the entire charity industry. Thus, CharityACE was born.
Always putting the charity first and letting their individualized needs and the return on investment lead business decisions, CharityACE can support more people through the incredible work being done by nonprofits across the country.

Leaving it better than it was when she got here is her daily goal, no matter what the “it” is. She’s been a women’s junior college basketball coach, earned a regional Emmy award for her television work and has logged 25 years as a non-profit professional. A proud mom to a college graduate, you can find her traveling, surfing (or trying to!), tending to her reef tank and buying too many plants.

Purpose-driven work has always been paramount to Sandy from the time she interned at a small charity while attending college. Following that rewarding experience, she began an 18-year career as a fundraising professional raising millions of dollars to fund disease-related research. What drew her to CharityACE was the opportunity to impact a vast number of worthy causes and to help improve the lives of those in need. At the end of the day, she wants her work to make a difference in this world.

Sandy’s long tenure in event fundraising has fueled her passion for mission advancement and has given her the experience she needs to assist you in your efforts. She takes the time to learn about your event, your audience and your goals to help you determine what makes the most sense for your organization and which experiences will bring you the most success. A New York native, her passion for giving back has always been the center of what embodies Justina. Her family instilled the core purpose of volunteering and fundraising in the community when she was a child. She has volunteered and worked with various non-profit organizations over the past 15 years assisting in many different areas and skills. Justina loves to multi-task and be the person who wears the “multiple hats” just like her time working in non-profit organizations. So she understands the hard work that directors, administration, and volunteers put into their events and fundraising each day.

When she is not helping the team or charities with their events she is at the beach with her family enjoying the sun and waves, community playgrounds, or baking sweet treats! She also helps fundraise and manage a high school scholarship foundation in memory of her mother who passed away from Breast Cancer in 2012. Her mom showed her the importance of balancing hard work, giving back, and spending time with her family which Justina strives to live by.

Courtney was raised to always give back especially to those in need and within her community. She does that by using her passion and love for fundraising that is near and dear to her heart. Her passion is driven from her core values that were instilled in her from her long career in Softball; starting at age 6 to NCAA D1 to post college and decided to become and instructor and coach recreational and collegiate teams. This was her way to give back to thank everyone who put her on the path she is on now. These core values make her a team player who is always looking to lead and to always put the GOAL and others before herself. She is there to provide support for all organizations through their events to give them everything they need to feel prepared to succeed.
CharityACE was an new and exciting opportunity to put her business mindset and skillset to work with organizations looking to make an impact. This job involves more than just the business side, it also allows her to show her personality and core values by supporting charities through the process. She is always ready and motivated to make a positive impact with every person she connects with. Courtney is there from beginning to end, seeing the process through and wishing organizations nothing short of great success!
