Up Close & Personal

On the San Juan Islands in Washington State lies an aquatic arena for some of the most magical creatures of the sea. The islands are home to a number of engaging outdoor activities, none so much compare to the thrill of whale watching. Enjoy a chartered boat ride and get close enough to appreciate the majesty melodies of whales.

Get up close and personal with nature in this adventure of a lifetime! Most of the whales are orcas but many grey, minke, and humpback whales have been known to frequent the area as well. Also present are seals, sea lions, porpoises, and, high in the sky, the imperial bald eagle.

A knowledgeable marine naturalist will accompany your group on board and describe all these beautiful creatures and their habits. The San Juan Islands are approximately 90 miles from downtown Seattle so this is a full-day experience that will require a rental car. Plan your day for leaving in the morning and returning to your Seattle hotel until around 8:00 pm on the day of your excursion.

Experience Includes:
  • {{nights}}-night stay at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel for 2
  • 2 adult day passes for a whale-watching boat tour
  • Personalized booking and concierge service
